Hi there since its been a long time since i made an application  i will start over again.
You can ignore the previous post from Magemarktwo, although i kinda liked it myself:-)

What is your age? ancient

Where are you from? Belgium

Do you have Mumble? i have Ventrilo and TS installed now but to install mumble wont be a problem

Microphone? Yes, although i'm a quiet guy that listens more than talks

Name  Magemarktwo

Class  Mage
Level  90
Spec  frost
Gear - Armorylink http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/auchindoun/Magemarktwo/advanced

- Are you willing to change spec if needed? If you have a dual PvE spec, what is your gear like for it?
ofc

- What is your former experience?
WoW from the start

- What Guilds have you previously been in? What was your reason for leaving each Guild?
Singularity and Embrace...but both guilds died or are on the verge of dying

- Do you know anyone in Disbanded that would vouch for you?
I found Merberan in my friends list from ages ago...might have leveled a char together

- Why do you want to join Disbanded?
Seems to be an active guild even in pre patch times and that's always a good sign.
Also relentless recruiting, and i know that's a killer,  makes me believe there's a strong urge to keep the guild going

- Tell us why we should pick you
Well basically i'm a nice guy. I hope you'll be able to find out yourself soon.

- How long have you been playing WoW/Char that you are applying with?
Since the dawn of times

- Can you give us a short description of what you do when you're healing, dpsing, or tanking? (Note: this is where you show us how well you know your class)
Bloody hell..i guess i would have to write a 20 page summary...but i know my rotations in all situations and i'm not a MageDPS whore to get myself on top of the meters and let raid group die.

- We normally raid Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays from 20.00-23.00. Sometimes we have to move our raids to other days due to exams and other rl stuff. Would you be able to attend?
Yes no problem

- Tell us something about yourself.
I'm a quiet person who likes to achieve things.  I enjoy WOW after work to relax and keep my mind busy not mindlessly sitting in front of a television getting garbage fed unaware.

- If possible, provide a recent raiding log here. If not, tell us which kind of ice-cream you like least.
I'm upto date with all raiding content and have 5 HC in SOO and yes i love a Colonel (Lime    icecream with vodka...:-)

- What is your current progress on the legendary quest chain?
have the cloak on most chars ( well at least 3 chars)

- Please add an UI screenshot to your application.
thats when my last application crashed so ill skip this...but i have all the addons needed for raiding.

Could you add that screenshot in a reply to this post please, also, could you just talk about the frost mage priority, cooldowns and non-DPS related utility a bit?

Trial - Magemarktwo - Mage <img src=" />

i hope this gives you an idea about my setup..it changes depending on what im doing.
my main bars are at the righthand side.
Left hand side is just utility.

I use LB to the max or whatever my talent tree is at the moment.
Track my proc from gear to use them as best as the situations allow and rotate my evocation/icy veins/frozen orb/frost bolt/Ice lance and frostfire when it comes of CD.

To save the healers a hard time i keep an eye on my defensive cooldowns / iceblock temp shield and use it when required.

I remove curses and spellsteal/counterspell or make nice black cats out of mobs when required to help out the overall raid performance.

Blink or invis myself to get out of nasty situations and give TW when its best used during the encounter.

OFC all of this is gonna change in the next content...but its not the first time thats happening and i'm looking forward to that.

If youre looking for a mage that does everything to be no1 on the meters..i'm not that guy. DPS is not an individual thing but a raid group result. If the group works together good...the bosses will go down. Put 5 raiders that only wont to be no 1 on the meters and most likely the result will be a wipe.

You're not ancient unless you're older than me. The officers will be discussing your application especially the technical aspect of how you describe to play your class. You seem to be a nice chap from your application and it is always nice to have someone older than me (provided you are) in the guild. Good luck with your application.

What are the things you can do, as a mage specifically, to help the raid succeed outside of doing damage? What are your most powerful tools for this, in your opinion?

Trial - Magemarktwo - Mage Empty Extra stuff

Post  Magemarktwo Mon Oct 13, 2014 8:48 pm

well i can counterspell, decurse and polymorph or get out of sticky situations with invis or iceblock.
for bigger crowds i can slow them with ring of frost

last but not least everyone loves a nice TW to boost there dps

and at 44 i stay calm and dont rage..i guess thats sometimes the best utility outside dps
but not mage specific Wink

Allrighty, I think this covers pretty much everything we need to know. Feel free to whisper me or any other officer in-game for an invite so you can start your trail for your raidspot Smile
